“They packed, dismantled our furniture, loaded the truck, drove it north, unloaded into the appropriate rooms in our new house, and reassembled the furniture. Nothing was lost or damaged.”

How a long-distance move works

  1. Walkthrough

We see your home in person or over FaceTime and build an inventory of everything that’s going.

  2. Binding estimate

You get a price you can hold us to. You know exactly what you’ll pay at the end of the move.

  3. Pack & load

We box, wrap and pad everything, take beds and furniture apart, and load the truck tight.

  4. Drive & deliver

Our crew drives your things to the new place, unloads room by room and puts the furniture back together.

Wrapped for 2,000 miles, not 2

Pianos, safes, glass and heirlooms get the same padding and plastic whether they’re going across town or across the country.

Binding vs. non-binding estimates

On an interstate move, the type of estimate you sign decides what you can be charged at delivery. Federal rules spell it out.

Binding
A guaranteed price for the items and services listed. If nothing is added, that’s what you pay.
Non-binding
A best guess. At delivery, a mover can’t require you to pay more than 110% of it, with the rest billed later.

We offer binding estimates. To build one, we walk through your home in person or over FaceTime and write up an inventory of everything that’s going, so there are no surprises on either side.

Valuation: ask before you sign

Interstate movers are liable for your things, but how much depends on the valuation you choose.

Released value is included at no extra charge, but it only covers 60 cents per pound per item. A 10-pound TV is covered for $6.

Full value protection makes the mover responsible for repairing or replacing damaged items at current value. It costs more, and it’s worth asking about for anything you’d hate to lose.

Ask us about valuation options and their cost when we do your walkthrough.

A long-distance moving timeline

  • 6–8 weeks out: book your walkthrough and get the binding estimate. Popular dates fill early.
  • 4–6 weeks out: decide what’s not coming. Sell, donate or schedule a junk haul so you aren’t paying to move it.
  • 2–4 weeks out: start packing the rooms you use least, or book full-service packing.
  • 1 week out: confirm the addresses, access details and your delivery contact at the new place.
  • Moving day: keep documents, medications, chargers and valuables with you, not on the truck.

Long-distance questions

Where do you move to?

Anywhere in the U.S. Past moves have gone from Southern Utah to New York City and from Washington County to Utah County.

Do I need a walkthrough for a quote?

For a binding estimate, yes. It can be in person or over FaceTime, and it’s free. For a rough number first, just call.

Is a move from Utah to Nevada or Arizona interstate?

Yes. Any move that crosses a state line is interstate, and the mover needs federal household-goods authority. Ours is USDOT 3508968, MC-1470317.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

Yes. Beds and large pieces come apart for the trip and get reassembled at the new home.
