Packing & move prep

Most of the work in a move happens before the truck shows up. We can do all of it.

Ready when the truck arrives

Boxes need packing, pictures come off the walls and get covered, lamps lose their bulbs and shades, mattresses go into bags to stay clean and beds come apart. It all takes longer than people expect.

We offer full-service packing and move prep, so everything is boxed, wrapped and ready when it’s time to load. Prefer to pack most of it yourself? We can handle just the kitchen, the fragile pieces or the last-minute leftovers.

Packing part of it yourself works too. One customer moving from Washington County to Utah County packed about half their home, and their packing-supply cost came down by that much.

“They packed, dismantled our furniture, loaded the truck, drove it north, unloaded into the appropriate rooms in our new house, and reassembled the furniture. Nothing was lost or damaged.”

Taken off the walls, covered and kept separate from loose boxes.

  • Mattresses

Sealed in plastic bags so they arrive clean.

  • Furniture

Disassembled where needed, padded and shrink-wrapped, with hardware kept together.

Moving supplies

A good move starts with the right supplies. We can provide everything you need to keep your things from getting damaged on the way, whether we’re packing or you are.

Local customers can also borrow our reusable moving bins at no charge. They’re sturdy, they stack and there’s nothing to break down when you’re done.

Packing questions

Can you pack just part of the house?

Yes. Many customers pack the easy rooms themselves and leave the kitchen, fragile items or everything left on the last day to us.

Do you take furniture apart?

Yes. Beds and anything that won’t fit through a doorway come apart, and we put them back together at the new place.

When should packing happen?

Tell us your moving date and how much packing you need when you request a quote, and we’ll plan the packing time around it.
